Manufacturing facilities

GT COMPOSITES has a workshop of 1500sqm in AMBOISE

 

Our production facilities are composed of :

 

1 rolling tube line

1 pultrusion line associated with a centerless rectify machine

1 infusion stratification and hand layup workwshop.

1 coating workshop.

1 various machining and grinding facilities for products and moulds.

1 a 50sqm cold wharehouse for prepreg.

2 ovens of 2m long, 1,5m wide and 4m intern hight.

400sqm of logisitic wharehouse dedicate to customers.

1 maintenance and control aera for pressurised devices.

 

Manufactoring processes

Rolling tubes :

The rolling tube process is one of the most efficient way to produce tubes and cones by winding prepreg fabrics on mandrels.

 

By this way you can make long parts with low thickness for small diameters. This technology will insure good ppoperties associate to a good dimensionnal tolerances control.

 

Various angles of fibers, section variations and thickness variations can be manage with a specific rolled shapes.

 

OUR CAPACITIES :

Diameter from 3mm to more or less 130mm

Maximum lenght per single part : 3000m

Important choice of mandrel diameters and shapes.

Rectification, machining, grinding and coated finishing by our own to reduce delivery time.

Facilities sized to produce small and medium serial quantitites (thousands of meters / month).

 

Pultrusion :

The pultrusion is the main technology to produce continuous profiles by pulling  impregnated fibers through a die and an oven for curing the material.

 

It is a very efficient proces for small profiles with important quantities because it is an automatic process close to plastic extrusion.

 

Fibers are only oriented in the direction of the profile.

 

The variation of section and thicness can be made by machining and finishing.

 

GT COMPOSITES as developped a specific expertise to produce conical antenna whip by introducing the copper conductor and the facilities to recover the conductor for connecting the whip.

 

OUR CAPACITIES :

Diameter from 3 to 25mm.

Maximum lenght 10m

Centerless rectification, machining, grinding and coated finishing by our own toreduce delivery time.

Medium serial quantities possible (capacity of handreds meter /day)

 


Infusion stratification :

Infusion stratification allows to produce parts with complex shapes. This process is typical for the production of technical parts for small serial quantities because of the low cost mould development and the good rate price/mechanical properties.

 

Total liberty for the fiber orientation of fiber and thickness.

 

OUR CAPACITIES :

       Size of single part from cm to 2-3 meters possible.

Patern and models made by our own to reduce cost and time of development.

Rectification, machining, grinding and coated finishing by our own to reduce delivery time.

Workshop able to produce some prototyp parts to hundreds /month.

 

Hand layup molding :

Hand layup molding allows to produce parts with complex shapes. This process is typical for the production from small to medum serial quantities because of the low cost mould development and the good price level because of the simplity of the process.

 

The main material used is glass fiber with polyester resin.

 

Total liberty for the fiber orientation of fiber and thickness.

       Size of single part from cm to 2-3 meters possible.

Patern and models made by our own to reduce cost and time of development.

Rectification, machining, grinding and coated finishing by our own to reduce delivery time.
